I have not read all the threads in theis post but am assuming that Hives of unknown origin are the problem. Have you been tested for allergies. An immunologist would test you for this. But if basic testing has ruled out normal stuff like pollens, detergant and foods it is time to take this a step further... I recently came back from a trip to see a specialist where my immune testing was VERY specific. I kept a food jornal for two weeks and was only tested for 9 foods. I tested positive for 6 of them. They tested me one at a time so I would know what each specific reaction was. Some were histamine reactions that ranged from stuffy nose to hives. On another day the testing was for the hormones put out by my pituitary and adrenal gland. Again this was one at a time for specifi reations. I can tell you that I reacted to ALL my hormones in differant ways. But it was my cortisal and my own histamine that broke me out in hives from head to toe. I had to be iced down and still have scars on my chest 4 weeks later. If you think about it...Any allergic reaction you have to ANYTHING will make your body have a histamine or cortisal reaction...if you are then allergic to your own histamine or cortison you are in BIG trouble!!! Antihisamine do help, but benadryl is NOT strong enough! You need a prescription. If you think you are in anyway "hormonal", meaning PMS, endometrosis, fibroids, menopausal, perimenopausal, PCOS, PCS, or any other "female" type of problem or even just suspect that you might, please find a doctor who can do this testing. OR if you have even taking the drug LUPRON or any other Chemo or GhRn agonist. These drug effect your Pituitary output permently and could cause these type of problems. I hope that this has given someone some insight to the cause and possible solution the their problem....I forgot to mention...once you find a doctor who can do these tests special drops can be made to desensitize you to the allegen. I'm on them now. It take about a year to the program to work. Good Luck!
