I had 3 thru 7 fused together and a titanium plate and screws installed to stabilize it until it completely fuses together. I still experiance pain but not as much as I did have. I do not however experiance headaches but it has only been 6 months since surgery. I am not a doctor but I would think that the symptoms you are dealing with shouldn't be so severe.
