I was diagnosed with a herniated disk at C5/C6 about two months ago via an MRI. I was told this was an average hernation and that with the epidural injections, the success rate of healing was 85%. I had mild neck pain, but incredible pain in my tricep areas. I started the series of shots and found relief. However, the relief has seemed temporary and have begun to notice numbness and tingling in my right arm and over the back of my right hand. I just had my third and final shot and it does not seem to be giving me the relief I had hoped for from it. My pain doctor and orthopaedic surgeon have said to remain patient, it takes time to heal. Am I being impatient?
