I was diagnosed as a teen with PCOS, no family history that I know of. My mom, her sister, and my cousin are fine. My father only has one sister who passed away about a year ago, but she was never married and I do not know if she had this syndrome or not. I recently started going to a specialist that has put me on Glucophage (metformin) and Clomophine (clomid), these are to regulate my insulin and hopefully bring on ovulation. I also started a weight loss program (Weight Watchers ... weightwatchers.com) in February 2001 and have lost 23 pounds since then. I have not been able to do anything about the hair growth, does it get worse with age? Hope all is well with you.
