Message 16 of 17 Previous Next

my daughter is 12 years old and i am at the end of my tether a teacher in primary school pointed out that she has symptons of dyspraxia as she has poor sense of coordination and bad comuncation skills.she is very obsessive and must follow a routine else she gets very confused.her behavior is rapidly getting worse and she gets so frustrated and screams and says she hates every one and wishes she was not born.she is very intelligent and an a student but the teachers in senior school are to me beginning to lose their patience with her even though i have asked them for help.she refuses point blank to do pe and attended ballet for 6 years but had problems with her balance so felt ridiculed by not only the pupils but the teacher so quit.i honestly don't know if it is a behavior problem or attention seeking but each day is a chore and i feel so lost.when she was born she was 5 weeks early so i put her slow developement down to being premature. she never ever crawled and used to repeatedly bang her head. she took her first steps at 11 months but fell over and did'nt walk again till she was 18monthes old . she hates anyone touching her hair and bites holes in all her clothes. she is an avid reader and has a vivid imagination, but her hand writing skills are letting her down sometimes you can,t even read it.at senior school they called me in to discuss her behavior and said to me that she was on the border line of being insane to a genius which obviously didn't make me feel any better i just don't know what to do to help her i feel that maybe i have left it to late before she was born i had a baby who died at birth and after simone the doctors thought i was being to over protected of her as she had problems feeding crawling sitting up every thing she achieved was a milestone. i am so proud of her but i know that she needs help and i am unsure if it is a behavior problem or if she really needs help please please answer this e-mail
