I have a son who will be 3 next month who has had seizures starting at 5 months. The first one was 40 min. the next were 30, all 3 had to be stopped at the emergency room then after that we were given rectal valium to stop them. We are about to go for a pet scan and I have been doing research as it was suggested by a specialist that he may be a surgical candidate. anyway in my research i have come across a few cases of myoclonic epilepsy of infancy that sound very similar to our situation. So far our son is doing well a slight delay in speech but that's all. He is currently on phenobarb and topamax and has gone up to 7 mos. without a seizure. we just had a rough go last month because the doc tried to wean him off the phenobarb and put him on trileptal. It was a disaster. any info or support on this condition would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance, Rebecca
