In 1979 I had a seizure that put me in the hospital for 3 days and I was blind for 24 hours. They put me on mega dosage of Dilantin 3 times a day. I took it for 3 days and quit taking it. If I were you I would go see a neurologist. If the eeg and everything is normal I would get off that medication. Taking seizure medication for a long period of time and then quit taking it is enough to cause a person to have a seizure. My daughter at 11 months old had 3 seizures in one day. As it turned out she had a viral infection which caused her blood sugar to go deathly low which in turn caused the seizure. She is now 16 years old and does not take any seizure medications. I hope this helps.
