I personally, have not had a hip replacement, but my mother-in-law has. She is over 80, and in less than one year, she had both hips replaced and a shoulder because of arthritis. She has recovered from it all very nicely and is now PAIN FREE. As far as her recovery, she is a very determined woman and as some as she was allowed to move about, she was walking the hospital corridors.
