In reply to your message, I can give you a little bit of information. I am a nurse currently caring for a 14 month old boy with microcephaly. The infant appearance is normal in this condition even at older ages. The babies simply fail to thrive. Feeding is always difficult and the babies are fed by a peg tube into the stomach. Even with a peg tube, the babies quite often will not tolerate enough calories to sustain any healthy weight. Craniosynostosis is a condition in which the sutures of the skull are closed so there are no fontanels to allow growth of the babies brain. The prognosis is very poor in this condition. I am so sorry you have been affected by it and I will pray for your baby
