I had osteo in 1941, before most Drs. knew what it was. Was in the hospital for 2 yrs. Three surgerys and sulfa drug, before penicillin, I was one of the few to survive at that time. I finished high school and went into self employed farming, as no one would hire the disabled. I am now 72 and enjoying retirement. My illness was in the right knee and left my leg 2" short. I have worn a built up shoe all these years. I have been teased and shuned but I think of those people having the handicap. Hope you are well by now, good luck
