I have been plagued with herpes lesions on my lips since I was a child. A few years ago, I had a flare on my nose. Last year, my left eye was involved. The doctor said the herpes virus is on my trigeminal nerve in my face and could flare at anytime in my eye. If it goes into my cornea, only a transplant will rid it. I have had one episode recently, but only in the conjunctiva and not the cornea. Ever hear of this?
