Hello; I had a hysterectomy in 1992 and my uterus and left ovary were removed. My right ovary remain which has recently caused me a great deal of problems. In 1998 I developed endometrosis in my bladder, on my bowel etc. Some was removed by laposcope. Most recently, I developed a hemoragic cyst in my remaining right ovary which ruptured and has caused me recent hospitalization. I had surgery which removed the cyst. The goal was also to remove my remaining right ovary. This was not accomplished. The doctor said my right ovary was rapped in my bowel like cement and they could barely see it. The doctor said they (other doctors) did not want to take a chance and rupture my other organs. The doctor and I are in a shear dilema. Since the right ovary was not removed, I could most certainly be faced with another hemoragic cyst. As it was explained to me, because I do ovulate monthly because of my right ovary. The doctor at first said, he would put me on birth control pills. (He was not going to start this until Dec. 10,2000). Now he says he doesn't think birth controls pills are a good idea. I am still extremely sore from my recent surgery long incision (from where I had my hysterectory)on my abdomen. I think my doctor plans on discussing my case with his fellow colleagues. I don't look forward to a third (3rd) abdominal surgery. Desperately in need of help in Illinois. Elizabeth
