Sorry to hear about your mother. The more you learn about breast cancer the more support you can be to your mom. I am 61 years old and am a 4 (nearly 5) year breast cancer survivor. I have a daughter near your age. My lymp nodes were also cancer and I went through about 8 chemo treatments. Once every 3 weeks and except for the day of treatment and the day after worked full time. I was able to drive to my treatments as I did not feel the ill affects til later that day. But every one is different. You might ask your mom if she would like you to go with her to her doctors visit and treatments. I bet she would. There is so much good information and support out there for cancer victims and their families. With a loving family and friends your mom will do just fine.
