Before being diagnosed with ic they thought it might be endometriosis because of pain in lower abdomen. after endoscopy it turns out it was not endometriosis. then my doctors said it was ic. i'm just telling you this because one of the symptoms of endometriosis is lower ab pain (like ic) and rectal pain with or w/out bm. just an fyi to talk to your doctor about in case you haven't already since symptoms are similar and i think often confused.
