Dymon Brady
I was diagnosed with PE a week and a half ago, and released from the hospital 6 days ago. I am a 34 year old physically active male roofing contractor. I have a few questions the doctor was not able to answer. 1) There is a high probability of clots in both the right and left lungs according to a perfusion ventilation lung scan. But they did not seem to come from my legs as ruled out by a doppler ultra sound. Where could have they come from if not from the legs? 2) The doctor said this is an insult to my system. I am not getting better, and some days even seem to be worse. I still have chest pains that move around, extreme dizziness, achiness, and general flu like symptoms. They have been ailing me for about two months and I would really like to know why, and how to get rid of them. 3) I was not given a clot dissolving medication, but simply the anticoagulants in Heparin and Warafin. Does this mean it is up to my body to dissolve the clots itself? I will stop with these three main questions and really want to sincerely thank you if you have any answers to them. If you could also tell me if it is OK to do physical work as a roofing contractor while feeling these symptoms. I seem to get worse when I do, but I'm kind of needed as this is our busy season. Thanks again for any help.
