colonoscopy means looking at the colon I dont think you meant to use that word. I had the operation and was in the hosp. only 4 days. They made a temporary colostomy on my abdomen and I wore a bag for two months for the disposal of waste After that they reconnected the colon. I had no problems at all except the plastic bag was not a neat thing. Your surgeon can explain this to you. Rex
