Lacrisert for dry eyes

Linda

Message 4 of 10 Previous Next

I used Lacriserts for a few years before I had to have my ducts sealed. I would put a dab of ointment like Lacrilube on the pellet and then insert it under the outside corner of my lower lid and gently slide it into the outside corner of my eye. There is a little pocket-like space there that holds the pellet perfectly. The ointment cushions the pellet until it softens and even helps it soften faster. I've had no problems with Lacriserts other than I can't get my current doctor to prescribe them for me simply because he is unfamiliar with them. Some days I could use the extra help of the pellets even with plugged ducts.
