I have a question regarding the gallbladder. Can you have gall bladder trouble without having stones? Or should I say have a normal ultrasound? This is my story. I had surgery mid april (3 months ago) and have been sick ever since. I had a laparoscopy where they used a laser to take care of endometreosis. I had a rough time after surgery, but then seemed to start to recuperate. But after only 4 days I found out I had a terrible UTI which required 2 rounds of antibiotic to clear up. I also had severe nausea and vomiting. Once again, I started to recup. but the next week I started the whole nausea and vomiting(N/V) routine all over again. They thought maybe I had a stomach flu. This slowly improved, but by the next week then I started diarrhea too. By the end of the week (3 wks after surg) I finally started to eat some bland things. I had already lost 15 lbs. My post-op visit regarding the GYN he said everything was normal. My symptoms must be from something else, but just to make sure he ordered an ultrasound to check my gallbladder, which was OK. Later I produced a fever and more diarrhea and finally was dx with c-difficial colitis, which I was treated for, nauseated the whole time. Another UTI, more meds. Long story short, now I am having some occas. pain R side around rib cage, and back pain, intestinal cramping, some nausea, temp. 99.5, no appetite in mornings, little by evenings, no diarrhea. I also burp a lot, and have a lot of gas. Because of the normal ultrasound they have ruled out the gallbladder, but I am still wondering. They want to do more lower GI studies (colonoscopy). They are also doing another test to make sure the C-diff is gone. I am so weak from all of this ordeal, I really don't want to do any tests I don't absolutely have to, but I do want to get well. Thank you so much for any input you may have. Melanie
