Hi, Rosalie. My mother was diagnosed with pmr around 3 years ago. I don't know exactly the length of time she has had it for she has been suffering from pains in her hips, knees, hands and shoulders for longer than that. It took some time for her to find a doctor who could diagnose this disease. My mother is over 75 years old. I bought her one of these 'email stations' last year and got her to start using it. With the help of her kids, she has become rather adept at using it. I often check for new drugs and natural remedies for pmr on the Internet. I thought that 'chatting' with someone 'who has been there' or has been suffering the same kinds of pains might make her feel less lonely with this disease. Up until these pains started, she was an avid walker. She would get up before everybody else in the morning to walk about 2 miles, even in the 'dead of winter'. Now she has all she can do to do a few stretches in the morning and is pretty much chair-ridden all day. It's not much fun to see her with this pain. I wonder if you would be interested in 'chatting' with her. She doesn't have an computer and this emailstation has a very small memory. It cannot 'surf the Internet', so there is no way she can 'download' any pictures or anything but black and white text, but she writes me that she might like to try chatting with somebody if I could find somebody with similar afflictions interested.
