I just had to respond to the person who wrote that their child had recurrent strep infections. One of my daughters went through this when she was young. My doctor even went through possible animal transmissions of strep (found out that cows and dogs "can" carry the infection) but the two biggest things that help besides the antibiotic are: 1. 2 days after being on the antibiotic, replace the child's toothbrush as it harbors the bacteria and can re-infect. and 2. Don't allow your child to be ANYPLACE where people smoke. My own three children would miss aprox. 2 weeks a school year due to upper respiratory problems. When my husband quit smoking, one of my children received an award for not missing a day! (the others missed for flu). My husband was gone most of they day and I didn't smoke but the difference was startling. He is now one of the least tolerant people I know of smoking after he was able to see (and smell) the differences. Hope this helps.
