I also have had severe constipation -- an now 47 and have had condition for last 40 years. Had first hemroidectomy at 26. I am now experiencing bout of fever and diarrehea, fever alternating with extreme constipation. Totally laxative dependent at this point. Tried smoking ciggarrettes and find it helps. Also now experiencing back and hip joint pain. Have been tested for chrones and tested negative so far. Really need help --- and would appreciate any info you could provide...Thanks kathy
