How many years can a person go with hypertension before stroke, heart disease, or renal failure occur. If I am a 58 yr. old Black Male, and have gone 10 years with it being usually between 180/100 and 212/105, and have been told the cause is unknown, what is most likely to happen in the years to come? I've had no problems with it. I exercise, am not overweight and use low salt though. If stress is the factor, then what? How much could medicine extend my life? Side effects?
