I am shocked to think that your doctor did not even SUGGEST the possibility that u may be experiencing perimemopausal symptoms, which is very common and NORMAL for women in their 40s or even younger. At 44, my always regular periods have turned abnormal, though I do have one every month. My cycle is shorter now, I have it more frequently. Our body chemistry is so complicated, every woman is different. Sounds like you need a new gyn, someone who will listen to you and tell you what "natural" things u can do for yourself! OF course they should test for other possibilities. Have you found any help since your posting? Would love to talk to you if you like. Good luck!
