I had this surgery several years ago & how painful it was indeed... My conern now, is whether the screw that was placed in my foot to hold some of the bone together is trying to work itself out.... I now have a tremendous callous on each side of my foot that burns throughout the day... Never experienced this until a few months ago. Thought getting a pedicure & having the callous sanded down would help..... But it didn't..... Just wondering if anyone that has had this surgery ended up with such bad callouses. I can barely walk on my foot now while being barefooted.... I fear going back to a podiatrist because of my experience with the surgery... Soaking my foot & sanding the callous doesn't seem to help the pain.... Would love to hear from anyone that might be experiencing the same kind of discomfort..... Thanks........
