My daughter has central precocious puberty, which is due to her hypothalmus not producing GnRH. If your daughter's precocious puberty is being caused by an ovarian cyst, this is good news. These cysts tend to go away on their own. They cause more estrogen to be produced, temporarily causing symptoms of puberty. If the cyst does not go away on its own it may be removed depending on the what problems it is causing. With true central precocious puberty, the only treatment is Lupron shots ever 3 weeks or so to prevent the onset of puberty before the bones have grown enough. Once the bones fuse after puberty, little more growth can be achieved.
