I HAD A LUMP REMOVED FROM MY RIGHT BREAST IN 1995, OVER 7 YEARS AGO. THE PATHOLOGIST SAID IT WAS DUCTAL CANCER INSITU. THE SPECIALIST THAT I WAS SENT TO SUGGESTED HAVING ADDITIONAL TISSUE REMOVED AROUND THE SITE WHERE THE CANCER WAS FOUND. I STILL HAVE MY RIGHT BREAST AND HAD IT RECONSTUCTED SO IT LOOKS AND FEELS JUST FINE. AT FIRST I HAD MAMOGRAMS EVERY 3 MONTHS, THEN EVERY 6 MONTHS AND NOW EVERY YEAR. THE CANCER HAS NOT RETURNED AS OF TODAY AND I DID NOT HAVE RADIATION OR ANY OTHER TREATMENT. I AM GLAD I HAD THE CANCER REMOVED AND AM THANKFUL THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH RADIATION OR CEMO. YOU MUST DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS BEST FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK WITH YOU DECISION.
