I also had rheumatic fever as a child and I am now 44. I have suffered from the past ten years (if not longer)from joint pain, esp. in hip, knees and feet, swollen fingers and eyes (but usually attributed to too much salt), generally not feeling great (not sick but not feeling good). I wake up in the morning feeling this way and once I get going I usually feel better but I am tired of not feeling good. People say, "Oh, you are just getting old," but I know there is something more. I have been advised to get tested for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis to rule these out and I guess I'll go ahead and get these done. I still have a heart murmur but it's only detectable by a heart specialist. I have always been prone to upper respiratory infections and infected sinuses, ear infections, etc. How about you?
