In response to your problem....I have a definite solution! I too experienced this problem with my daughter. Unfortunately, as time passes and this condition is allowed to continue, fear sets in and the child will often "hold" their bowel movements because of the fear that it "hurts." What I can tell you, is that there is something that can be purchased in a Pharmacy called Malt-Supex. I used it in the powder form. It is a natural malt product, that can be added to the child's milk and acts as a stool softener. You can add as much as needed to soften the stool without harming the child at all! As I said, it is a natural product and perfectly safe. It is a little on the pricy side, but well worth the money. I promise you this will work. And as I said, it is natural and harmless. I would add it to each and every bottle she drank and eventually just cut down a little on the amount I put in each bottle. The child will notice that the pain is gone when moving her bowels and hopefully the diet itself will just work things out with regular fruits and vegetables. In any case, it helps a lot! Please let me know how you make out. Cathy
