Caryl, >What is aging with this condition >like...what should I plan for...how >much longer can I expect to work and >walk? EDS affects each person differently. It would be nice to have clear-cut, well-defined answers, but they simply don't exist. Some people with EDS have considerable difficult and find themselves severely disabled in their early 20s and 30s. Others can live into their late 80s without experiencing any major problems. The best thing you can do for yourself is to talk to your doctor about appropriate joint strengthening exercises, physical therapy, and injury prevention techniques.
