I was diagnosed with a borderline chiari malformation almost 3 years ago. I am now 35, and since childhood I have had severe dizziness that could not be explained. In my late teens I began having constant problems with neck pain, muscle spasms in my neck and sinusitis. Through my twenties I began having difficulties with facial numbness. I have always been "clumsy", but in my thirties it started to become a real problem (I have broken almost every dish in the house because they just "fall out of my hands". I cannot walk in a straight line, etc. I currently have severe numbness on my left side. I, like your daughter cannot work full-time. Just recently I had severe head pains and of course the first thing I thought of was "is this ANOTHER symptom of Chiari?". But for me, I found out that it was an absessed tooth. I'm not saying that your daughter's headaches are not a problem associated with the chiari malformation, but I think that other things should always be considered. Please keep in touch! Stephanie
