Planter fascitis is a more of a tear or pull of the ligament that runs from heel through the arch of your foot. Injury to this is VERY painful and it can take MONTHS for it to heal. Treatment includes wearing a large, darth Vader looking, boot to bed so the ligament heals in a stretched state to prevent further injury. Also lots of flexing exercises. It is unlikely that a planters wart on the toe would cause Fascitiis. A planters Wart is something that can and should be removed!!!!! I would NOT, however, see a Pediotrist for this. No offense to any pediotirst out there but When surgery or any type of "removing" is involoved you will have better luck with an Orthopeadic surgeon! Pediatrist are NOT medical MD's!!! They go to Pediatry school, not medical school, kind of like a chiropracter. Check the larger Orthopaedic groups in your area. They usually brake down into speciality, ie...Hip and shoulder, hand, FOOT AND ANKLE!!!! Good Luck! Kim
