Diane
Dear Diane, I, too, am a Diane and have been through some of the same things you are going through. Luckily, I had a doctor who diagnosed Fibromyalgia. However, another doctor thought I should "be beating down the door" of the psychiatrists office. At the time I was suffering from a collapsed vertebrae in my neck. After my neck surgery, my pain, for the most part was gone. The I began to experience such chronic fatigue that I went to a new dr. who specializes in Fibromyalgia. She found all the pressure points. I know how it is when people don't believe you. My own husband had doubts. Hang in there. Research on the internet and find out where you can get help. My fibro is some better, the drugs they have given me to help me reach stage 4 sleep did alot for my chronic fatigue (fatigue is usually the first problem older people have when they first experience fibro symptons. Now I have a ton of other symptons. I will pray for you, Diane. I never would have made it through the neck surgery, additional elbow surgery for a pinched nerve without God's help. (the elbow problem was a result of the neck surgery, but the doctor denied it of course. There are many sites of the internet about chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. You can also get information about how to find a doctor to help you. My fibro dr. is a woman, a rheumatologist. Please don't despair. Help is out there, you just need to find it. I'll pray that you do.
