I understand your frustration. I have been dealing with recurring chhronic cellulitis of the breast since my breast cancer operations (lumpectomy and axial node dissection) in 1997, with hospitalizations for IV antibiotics every 4-6 weeks for about 3 years. The oral antibiotics between IV's did not contain the deep tissue infection. Finally a combo of oral antibiotics worked and have only been in the hospital a couple of times since 2000. I must be ABSOLUTELY PRECISE about taking the meds on time and in the right quantity. Any deviation can cause the beginning of a "break through" of the cellulitis. It's tough, I know, but hang in there. I would be interested to hear more about this...since it is apparently quite rare. The bacteria in my case, also rare for this, was Strep B. Take care...and keep trying. Very best regards. Jane
