I worked with a sweet boy in second grade last year with Fragile X. This was my first experience with it. He had all the classic male symptoms. I looked it up on the web and found out a lot. He was very unco-operative most of the time, twisted his hands, made noises, and generally could not do any age appropriate things.(He could eat by himself and was totally toilet trained)He could not hold a pencil correctly or draw, write, etc. His speech was almost incoherant. But, I could not help loving him for who he is. He tried to do his best and that was all he had. Find out all you can and just love your little one more. Good luck.
