Hypoglycemia , Orange Juice, Diabetes

I was diagnosed with hypoglyceia 20 years ago--I was immediately put on a very strict diet--high protein/low carb--and told to eat 6 times a day. Your "10 o'cloock droops" simply means your body needs fuel to raise your blood sugar. (Speak with your doctor about what type of foods your body needs). I have now regulated my sugar that I can eat almost anything. But if I do NOT eat -- then I run into shakeyness/etc. I carried peanuts around with me for ages--esp if I was going to be out with a group and possibly would miss my "feeding time". I, however, had to watch fruits carefully--esp for some reason apples would make my sugar so high I would be dizzy. In the beginning I had to monitor every bite--but with patience and the right diet you can control your sugar level. In addition, for 3 year I had severe migranes from the blood sugar and also stress... Two things are important--wear an alert bracelet or necklace indicating you are low blood sugar--and always have something in your purse/car to give you a "kick" if needed. Have a great day.
