C.C., I can understand how hurt, scared, and angry you are. I too was in the exact situation many years ago. It took all the courage I had to tell my mom (find someone you trust and feel will understand you without judging you) and find a good doctor. I went to a female doctor that was very kind and caring. If you know of none call your local ask a nurse. Herpes is not the end of the world. Educate yourself by reading information on the net or books from your local library. My original outbreak lasted 3 months (worse case doctor ever saw), but it has been over 9 years and I have not had outbreaks nor do I have to use medication. It affects everyone differently. Be wise by educating yourself on the subject. You can have a VERY normal life! :-) Please feel free to contact me. I know how scary it can be in the beginning!
