The percentages of people who have herpes is huge. Most have it. The herpes virus is basically all the same. Avoid kissing or oral sex when you or someone else has it. Consider telling your doctor. There are medications that work best when taken at the first outbreak. Your generation in particular is reported as having epidemic rates of herpes. It is not the end of the world but may feel so. So many people get cold sores, in fact just about everyone and this is the same herpes you have. Some day there will be a cure.
