For the past few years, I have been having persistently elevated white cell counts. The highes has been 22.3. I was hospitalized then. Now, there are further changes. I still have elevated WBC, now I have elevated platelets, low RDW, low MCHC, High Granulocytes, and I have dacryocytes (teardrop cells) in my peripheral smear. They also did a test for LDH (thinking it might be lymphoma) and my LDH levels were elevated. My GP wants to do a watch and wait still. 3 weeks ago, I did not have the teardrop cells, and now I do. I am not sure if watch and wait is appropriate at this point. I have no idea what any of this means, but I do know that it is not normal. in the past few months I have been VERY fatigued, and in the past 2 to 3 months I have lost 17 pounds that I cannot explain losing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Amy
