My mom has had post herpetic shingles for 10 years and after having tried the lidocaine patch as well as every other treatment imaginable, she stumbled onto Biofreeze. She was having my father rub the gel into her neck and back for arthritis and realized that for the first time since she had developed shingles, she was getting relief. She swears by it now. Biofreeze is a gel used by physical therapists for relief from arthritis and other joint pain. It comes in gel form and you can find it through physical therapists and more cheaply, on the internet. I have no connection to Biofreeze, just a mom who has found relief and want to pass it on in the hope that it can help someone else. Hopefully others will find the same type of pain relief my mom has.
