I have a left sided herniated disk in C5 and C6 of my spine. It is causing pain that radiates down my right arm (radicular). My neurologist is puzzled since any radicular pain should be in my left arm (since I have a left sided herniated disk). He has prescribed Lexapro, not for use as an anti-depressant, but for use as a general painkiller. My big problem is the Lexapro causes uncontrollable shaking when I first take it. My concern is two fold. Has anyone else been prescribed Lexapro for a herniated disk and has anyone else had radicular pain in the opposite arm?
