Get some benadryl and take it at night if you are working, or as directed until symptoms subside if you can stay home a couple days. Don't take it and then try to drive, as it can make you very sleepy! Also, mix up a paste of equal parts plain meat tenderizer and baking soda with enough distilled water to make it the consistancy of mud (real mud will actually work too). Soak the affected foot in warm water with a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of baking soda for 20 min (or until water cools too much), dry your foot thoroughly, then apply the paste to your bite. Once it dries, gently rinse it and reapply the paste. Repeat until burning is alleviated (itch is taken care of by benadryl and somewhat by paste). This is my grandma's recipe, and it always worked on me for bee stings, wasp stings, ant bites and the "no-see-ums." If you use mud instead, you are supposed to look for mineral-rich mud, which is very dark brown, or mud with a high clay content, which is grey or red. Don't ask me - I think this comes from "back in the day" when you only went to the doctor for really serious stuff, like small pox and such. Good luck!
