I would also suggest going easy or stopping completely carbonated beverages,(poor for you anyway and gaseous), "seedy" things as one post mentioned, highly spiced foods, and cut way back on sugar. Keep fiber of one kind or another in your diet but don't go overboard. Eat more small meals instead of overloading on 2 or 3 and a nice warm heating pad and soft chair helps when discomfort kicks in. Don't stress; it takes a few days to get back to your normal self. Remember - the body's timeframe for healing is not what our minds want it to be.
