Shingles aren't connected to cancer! and if you have cancer it is far more serious, so I really hope you haven't got that. I had shingles when I was 21, it was unbelievably sore, I had it across my back and I found little relief, the only think that soothed the soreness was Calamine Lotion and painkillers. however it is quite rare to get this twice and it is possible you are still suffering from the original bout of shingles. When my father got shingles he had to have morphine shots, so I know it can be really really bad and particularly if it attacks the head. Where have you got the rash? Don't despair this will fade away mine only lasted two weeks, I was lucky, but it will fade for you soon. If you are still in pain, talk to your Doctor, there is no use living in pain. I hope you get better soon. All the best J
