This sounds very familiar to me. About 4 years ago, I had upper back pain for over a month and the doctors didn't know what it was. When my arm started feeling numb and my fingertips started tingling, they sent me for an MRI of my head and neck. I had a large rupture of a cervical neck disk and a bulge in another. That was causing my back pain and tingling and pain down my arm. I never realized my back pain was because of something in my neck! The tingling in my fingers was the tipoff to my doctor to check my neck. If you haven't already had anything checked on your neck, I would urge you to tell your doctor. I hope all goes well for you.
