my husb just had surgry on his spine. He had the same symptoms, hands going numb, major neck pain, tingling pain in his arm, to the point where i have seen him get up in the middle of the night on the virge of tears. He got relief from cortisone shots the doc gave him in his neck, lasted about a month then back again. He had bone spurs and degeneration of his spine, still recooping from spurs removed, new bone added and a plate holding it all in place from c-5 to c-7. its been 3 weeks and he says the pain and tingling in his arm and hasnt complained about his hand falling asleep at all. sorry to say he didnt get much relief from any type of pain killers or anti-inflamatories
