i too have suffered from frequent UTI's. i have had my bladder and kidneys x-rayed. and nothing was "wrong" with me. but once sometimes twice a month,an infection would come on, and quick. then i had a reaction to the sulfa medication i would take to get rid of it-finally i asked to be put on something everyday-or atleast to have something on hand so i didnt have to call a doctor at 3 AM ever again.I now take macrobid,it doesnt work as fast as sulfa, but as soon as i feel one comming on,i take one with a tall glass of water. i still get them,but it has been years since i have had a "full blown" UTI- and yet i am not constantly taking a pill, that i will just get immune to in the long run-best of luck to you-i have felt your pain-
