My sister has been given conflicting info on reconstructive surgery at the same time as her masectomy. Can anyone give me some info on the feasibility of this and/or the pitfalls. Initially her Drs told her that they want to do both at the same time, now other Drs are saying that this should not be done because of an increased chance for infection, possibility of missing some cells and not catching them quick enough due to the implants, etc..
