This doesn't sound like herpes. I am a nurse also. Usually the pain is unbearable though from what I have read. If you do have it though you want to know. Later down the road if you have children if you deliver vaginally with herpes you can cause severe brain damage to the baby from herpes encephalitis...it is better to treat than to run.... But again. It doesn't sound like herpes. Go to the doctor!!!
