About 3 years ago, I began having monthly bouts with vaginal infections (mostly yeast, but once BV). I was clear for almost 2 years, but they started up again late March. I treated the infection as yeast and it would be fine for a few weeks, then come back. I finally went to the doctor yesterday and he said it was mostly likely BV with a trace of candida mixed in. Is it possible that I had BV all along and that is why the yeast meds never fully worked for me? Also, this seems to flare up shortly after my boyfriend performs oral sex on me. Any connection between bacteria in the mouth and this? I have had blood and STD tests, as well as a sugar test, and all were normal. Please get back to me if you have any advice. Thanx!
