Ask your doctor to set up an appointment at a pain treatment center for steroid njections into the bursae. As I understand it, there are several bursae in each hip. The doctor there will help to determine which are giving you the most trouble. Th doctors here--(in Little Rock) use methylprednisolone. I have also had injections int the lower spine and they have helped a lot. Some people respond more favorably than others and sometimes an injection may help more or less than others you have, but any help at all is beter than no help at all. By the way, an MRI won't show the bursitis. Hope this helps you.
